Cedar Lodge
Cedar Lodge will present a unique opportunity to purchase one and two bedroom Close Care Apartments in this innovative new development. This scheme will be exclusively available to people over the age of 60 and offers housing combined with the benefit of on-site care. Residents of Cedar Lodge will have access to full care packages 24 hours a day, along with domestic assistance if required. The development aims to promote security and independence by reducing the stresses that can be brought about with the onset of old age.
Close Care is a term used for housing that is in close proximity to a Nursing Home. Cedar Lodge is situated just a few steps from the front door of Springfield Nursing Home, which is owned and operated by Scio Healthcare Ltd. For Cedar Lodge residents the benefit of having this facility next door means that care is right on your doorstep, anytime of the day or night. In addition to being a registered Nursing and Care Home operator, Scio Healthcare will be registered as necessary to provide care into the close care apartments. This will enable varying levels of care to be delivered into your own home at Cedar Lodge.
We have recently had to make the difficult decision to put the project on hold for the short term. The current economic climate holds such great degrees of uncertainty that we have decided that a postponement is the most prudent option at this time, certainly until the housing market has picked up again.
This is quite a disappointment for us because we were really looking forward to expanding our care services. Rest assured however that we hope this to only be a short term postponement and we look forward to being able to start on site as soon as we can.
